It took a village!

Dec 9, 2016

It has been a very busy week here in school. All of the children performed two showings of our Christmas production 'It takes a village!' All those who came along will agree that both performances were excellent. The singing, dancing, acting and organisation of the children all made their performances outstanding. Thank you to all who came along to support the children and for your positive comments which have been shared with the children. The children would like to share their report on this news story...

It was like the nativity story, but it was a bit new and it was called ‘It Takes A Village’. We worked very hard to make the most amazing play we could.

In the play Mary gave birth to a son, who became the greatest leader ever. Herod tried to kill baby Jesus, but he didn’t manage to because the Wise Men didn’t lead him to Jesus. One character was Wise Man Three and gave gold to baby Jesus.

All the songs were amazing, but we particularly liked the last song, ‘It takes a Village to raise a Child’. We all liked different scenes, as they were all well acted. The comments we received showed that teachers and parents were very proud of us.

One comment said ‘It was the play we had ever done.’
