End of term church service

Jul 22, 2017

St Mary's Church, Walton was filled with children, staff, parents, family and members of our community on Wednesday 19th July. The children sang their hearts out and shared memories of our children in year six who are moving on to their new school in September. There were not many dry eyes in the house! We give thanks to Reverend Edward Johnsen who gave the children poignant messages as they move on and he also recognised the special family feel of our school.

Our school trophies were presented in recognition of work over the school year.

Grace Irving - Infant Curriculum Award for Independence

Charlie Dalgleish - Junior Curriculum Award for Independence

Lola Warwick - Creativity Award

John Mitchinson - Service to School

Rob Harding - Sportsmanship

Seth Armstrong, Emily Jones and Sam Mitchinson - 100% attendance book token

All of our children in year two received an award of a cross to recognise their hard work in the infant class and celebrate their move into the junior class in September.

The children in year six all received a trophy and a gift of a Bible given by Walton Church. We wish them well on their learning journey and hope that they pop back into school to say hello soon!

Thank you to all who attended to make the service very special. Look out for photos appearing on our website very soon.
