Carlisle Visit

The children in year six attended Carlisle Cathedral for the 2022 leaver's service. It was a very special occasion, where they joined with children from other church schools in Cumbria, to celebrate being in year six and to look forward to moving on to secondary education. 

While they were at the Cathedral, the rest of the school visited Carlisle Cathedral, as part of their coasts and castles topic. All children then walked back to the Cathedral, to see the church school's labyrinth. We spotted the tile that we made as part of the pilgrimage theme and it did look splendid as part of the whole labyrinth.

To complete our visit, we walked to the river Eden, to see the point where the river meets with the river Caldew. It was a beautiful day for enjoying time by the river and we even spotted a heron.
