Revel in Reading

Have a look at some of the fun activities we have been doing as part of our 'Revel in Reading' mini topic. We have been looking at the author Julia Donaldson and her illustrators Axel Scheffler and Lydia Monks. We had a go ourselves and created characters including Zog and Superworm. We designed hedgehog homes for Hattie The Hedgehog and her friends, after sharing a book about hibernating animals. We also looked at non-fiction books on the Gunpowder Plot, Bonfire Night and Diwali. Then we created wonderful artwork to celebrate these festivals and brighten our classroom. We also had great fun making up a Bonfire Night poem that we turned into a song with actions.
